“Sometimes the people around you won’t understand your journey. They don’t need to, is not for them”

We grow thinking that we are as good as our possessions, that any valuable item is an item worth having, that the number of these should be higher rather than lower, that a life with a goal give us a purpose, that to own is to succeed, that important decisions are necessary, possessions essential, money prestige, ambition admirable, youth an advantage and beauty an asset.

We grow believing that these are essential values for a society that pressure us to be the best, the cleverest, the richest, the prettiest.  But it is for you to look beyond these imposed not written life rules and take a journey of self-discovery for what there are different worlds out there with different and beautiful definitions of success and happiness.

Be brave to redefine your knowledge, be your own teacher and let the world to provide you with the right lessons. Have the desire to explore and take a journey of discovery, of learning valuable lessons that are not measure by the size of your professional goals. And be courageous to test your knowledge, to be prepared to accept that they may have lied to you, that your values may be wrong, that you can re learn everything again and become a better person.

Start your journey; Travel to learn, to understand, to be humble, to be loved, to love, to experience, to re learn lessons, to accept, to make mistakes, to smile, to struggle, to laugh, to experience but most important, make the journey yours and don’t expect others to understand for what this is your own life and decisions.

Your journey is unique; no one else will repeat or live your same experiences walk on your steps and gain your knowledge. Go out to the world with a kind heart, a humble soul and travel joyously.

Approach people willing to learn from them, to understand their sorrows, to protect their trust and leave the lessons you learnt behind because you are about to learn them all again.

Don’t be surprised to find joy with the poor, happiness with the humble, hope in the defeated, smile in the hungry. Accept this new world with gratitude and understanding and don’t be scare to feel sad at a times, you will see poverty that will break your heart but then once you have overcome your first worse feelings of confronting these new realities that have opened in front of you, slowly you will be able to find beauty and to understand that where there never truly was, it will never be missed.

Look at these new worlds that open in front of you and feel gratitude for what the people you will meet will teach you lessons that you didn’t know there were there to be learnt.

“That is why we need to travel. If we don’t offer ourselves to the unknown, our senses dull. Our world becomes small and we loose our sense of wonder. Our eyes don’t lift to the horizon; our ears don’t heart the sounds around us. The edge is both comfortable and limiting. We wake up one day and find that we have lost our dreams in order to protect our days. Don’t let yourself become one of these people.  The fear of the unknown and the lure of the comfortable will conspire to keep you from taking the chances the traveller has to take. But if you take them, you will never regret your choice”
